I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. On a balmy night looking across the bay it is really something special and the staff are always helpful and caring. Highly recommend every dish.

Jewel on the Bay's authentic Indian cuisine is fresh, perfectly spicy and utterly delicious. If it's your first visit, try the Maharaja's Banquet for Two, which includes mixed entrees, beef vindaloo, rogan josh, Goan fish curry, butter chicken, vegetable korma, pappadums and naan. Servings are mammoth, so don't over-order or you'll have leftovers for days.

A cultural crossover During the day, the Jewel on the Bay is an Omni cultural café with many cuisines to be sampled, and Rose Bay locals often frequent it. But… at night, an Indian family takes over the kitchen and it contracts to a single identity, serving an array of curries and classic Indian dishes. The décor is simple, with large bronze plates hanging on the walls, and a huge big golden pot standing against one wall as the main feature of decoration. The food is pleasing, featuring some well-known Indian classics, and superb breads made in the tandoor. There is something for all – even for those who prefer less spice in their life.
